About the role

The Business Manager will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and join the leadership team playing a key role in providing input into the strategy and operational success of the organisation. This is a pivotal appointment for our client as they continue to navigate a period of change, implement robust processes, and seek additional funding opportunities to benefit their clients.

The position will be responsible for leading and managing the corporate activities of the business, with responsibility for Finance, Business Services, Hospitality and Gardening, Maintenance and Assets, Property Liaison, Intake and Community Engagement. To be successful experience is required in complex funding (preferably NDIS), presenting financial information at an executive and board level, contract management, a deep understanding of compliance and building robust processes, the ability to build strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders and experience in grant writing would be attractive.

We are looking for a hands-on, values-based leader with the ability to coach and partner with managers increasing understanding of the numbers. This role will operate strategically to ensure people are key to the organisation's decisions. This is a key appointment to join a small, collaborative, high-performing team where values and fit will be crucial.

To be successful in this you will have demonstrated experience in:

  • Financial management, budgets and reporting
  • Experience with complex funding and financial analysis for optimal claiming
  • Exposure to grant writing and preparation of funding proposals
  • Business management and people leadership
  • Operational Management and performance
  • Establish and implement risk management processes
  • Drive a culture of strict governance and compliance
