Government Programs
Career Connector is a government led program that connects Tasmanians to training and jobs. Searson Buck is proud to be working with the Tasmanian Government on administering this program across the state.
We’re passionate about keeping Tasmanians employed and so we actively support the Tasmanian State and Local Government with recruitment, human resources and consulting. Below are some programs that we help the Tasmanian Government’s Department of State Growth and Jobs Tasmania implement.
Career Connector
The Career Connector program is a free service available for Tasmanians who need some extra support finding work. The program is personalised according to individual needs and can involve career coaching, assistance with interview preparation, referrals to employers and more.
Job Ready Fund
The Job Ready Fund supports Tasmanian jobseekers to obtain the entry-level training and essential tools needed to get a job and be work-ready from day one. This can include assistance in getting White Card accreditation, work boots, protective clothing or tools.
Rapid Response Skills Initiative
The Rapid Response Skills Initiative funds training for people who have lost casual, full-time or part-time work in the last 12 months due to retrenchment, downsizing or closure. It is also available to self-employed persons. Applications are done through Career Connector service providers.
